About The Department
The Department of Costume Design and Fashion aims to train the students to emerge as versatile entrepreneurs who can successfully become one of the supporting pillars of our nation which is the need of the hour in this high competitive and challenging world of textile and fashion industry
The main objectives of the course are to bring the innovative and imaginative skillsaptitude and creativity among young students and to make them into renowned skilled professional in the fashion world.

B.Sc in Costume Design & Fashion at Palanisamy College of Arts
PCA and its Department of Costume Design and Fashion are well known in the academic circles of Costume Design and Fashion (CDF). As a matter of fact, the Bharathiar University syllabus for the course was framed in consultation with the CDF department of PCA.
The department has well experienced faculty members as well as state-of-the-art labs equipped with latest technology. B.Sc., Costume Design & Fashion is a three year, degree course comprising of six semesters.
- Special Features
CDF Department students get excellent opportunities to participate and CDF Department regularly organises workshops and seminars. The department also boasts of University ranks.
- Internship
Students are required to do 15 days internship in a garment export unit and Processing unit.The department encourages and supports the students to participating in the designer contests and fashion shows. The department regularly organises special seminars / workshops and industrial visits
