BSc Visual Communication or ‘Viscom’ is a 3-year undergraduate degree program that aims at providing an insightful view into a wide variety of subjects such as Animation, Drawing, Multimedia, Graphic Designing, Web Designing, Writing, Advertising, Film and Video Production, Video Editing, Photography, etc.

• The candidates must have passed 10+2 in the relevant stream from a recognized board.

Video Editor

Video editors transform raw clips and video footage into high-quality finished videos used to inform, engage, and inspire their audience. They use specialized software applications and editing tools to merge content from multiple sources and add pictures, graphics, visual effects, voice, sound effects, and music.

Videography

Filming video on set and on location. Working with creative teams and clients to plan video shoots. Setting up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment. Editing footage after recording.

Photography

Photographers use a variety of photographic equipment to capture events, people, objects or scenes for records, art or commercial use. Many photographers begin their careers as photographic assistants, setting up lights and stands, arranging transport and occasionally acting as a 'second shooter'.

Film Production

Filmmaking or film production is the process by which a motion picture is produced. Filmmaking involves a number of complex and discrete stages, beginning with an initial story, idea, or commission. Production then continues through screenwriting, casting, pre-production, shooting, sound recording, post-production, and screening the finished product before an audience, which may result in a film release and exhibition.

Broadcasting Manager

Research and identify needs of patrons in order to create appropriate programming for audience; determine order of broadcasts so the appropriate listeners will be reached for each program aired; mail program schedule, produced in large print or on cassette, to listeners.

Event Management

Event Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts short- and long-term planning and management for events and sales.
  • Develops and recommend the budget, marketing plans, and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
  • Maintains or exceeds budgeted sales and profits in all event areas.
  • Recommends, develops, and implements effective marketing plans for generating event revenues.
  • Evaluates each piece of event business to ensure business can be properly serviced.
  • Assembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors.
  • Trains, supervises, and works with event staff, to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising and execution of the functions.
  • Leads event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.
  • Administers all phases of the event department, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures.
  • Coaches and counsels employees to reflect company service standards and procedures.
